High school highlights for Saturday, April 5, 2025

Apr. 5—BIG NINE CONFRENCE

—Noah Dunlap dazzled on the mound, allowing just one hit in seven shutout innings to help Austin win its home opener over Winona 1-0. Dunlap struck out 13 and walked five. Rob Lilis drove in the only run of the game with an RBI double.

THREE RIVERS CONFERENCE

—Drew Peters drove in all three runs with a double in the first and Mayes Boyer tossed a complete game as La Crescent-Hokah beat Caledonia 3-1. Boyer allowed one run on five hits, striking out five and walking none in seven innings of work.

NON-CONFERENCE

—Mayo rode some timely offense and the arm of Amber Condon to defeat Sauk Rapids-Rice 7-4 and pick up its second win in as many days. Ani Shank and Chelsea Putzier each had two hits, while Avalon Heise drove in a pair of runs. Avery Zeone and Lauren Chon each had an RBI as well for the Spartans (2-0, 1-0). Condon allowed four runs — one earned — on six hits with eight strikeouts.
