Heat honor Jimmy Butler with tribute video in return to Miami with Warriors

After being traded to the Golden State Warriors in early February at the deadline, Jimmy Butler made his highly anticipated return to South Beach for a contest against his former team, the Miami Heat.

After a successful stint with the Heat that included two trips to the NBA Finals, Butler's final campaign in Miami was rocky. Butler demanded a trade out of South Beach and was even suspended prior to being moved to the Warriors at the deadline.

Despite a dramatic end to his run in Miami, the Heat welcomed back Butler with a tribute video prior to his pregame introduction at Kaseya Center on Tuesday night.

Butler spent six seasons with the Heat, leading them to the playoffs four times, the Eastern Conference Finals three times and the NBA Finals twice. Averaging 21 points, six rebounds and 5.7 assists in six seasons with the Heat, Butler was named an All-Star twice while a member of the Heat.

Butler had a quiet performance in his return to Miami, scoring just 11 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field to go along with six rebounds and two assists in the Warriors' 112-86 loss to the Heat on Tuesday night.
