Heat blast Warriors in Jimmy Butler's return to South Beach, 112-86

Despite losing 10 of their last 11 games, the Miami Heat came out firing on Tuesday night against the Golden State Warriors. On their way to playing spoiler in Jimmy Butler's return to South Beach, the Heat knocked down a season-best 17 triples on 23 attempts from deep. Behind a barrage to triples and an ice-cold performance from Golden State's starting five, the Heat dealt the Warriors a blowout loss, 112-86.

For the second straight game with Steph Curry sidelined, the Warriors' offense opened the game flat, scoring 22 points. Buddy Hield and Gui Santos combined for 14 points off the bench while the Warriors' starting five tallied just eight points on 4-of-13 shooting from the field in the opening quarter.

Golden State's cold shooting stretched beyond the first quarter as the Warriors finished the game shooting 39.8% shooting from the field and 23.7% shooting from beyond the arc.

Brandin Podziemski led the Warriors with 14 points on 6-of-16 shooting from the field with four assists and three rebounds in 30 minutes. Podziemski and Butler were the only members of Golden State's starting five to score in double figures.

Miami's starters outscored the Golden State's starting group 88-35. Bam Adebayo scored a game-high 27 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field with eight boards and an assist.

In his return to Miami, Butler notched a quiet night, recording 11 points on 5-of-12 shooting to go along with six rebounds, two assists and a steal in 28 minutes.

Former Warrior Andrew Wiggins registered 10 points on 4-of-13 shooting from the field with five rebounds and five assists in 28 minutes.

Riding a two-game losing streak with Curry sidelined due to a pelvic contusion, the Warriors will get two days off before meeting the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday evening.
