Giorgio Furlani has claimed AC Milan are at the ‘same point as three days ago’ in their sporting director hunt, and also commented on Sergio Conceicao’s future.
Milan have an important game tonight in front of their home fans as they look to finish the league season strongly and perhaps begin an unlikely late surge into the European spots.
However, a lot of the stories that have surrounded the club in the 24 hours have been about the future. More specifically, Fabio Paratici is now not expected to become the sporting director despite talk of an agreement.
Whilst the disqualification factor was known, sources stated that its impact would be more serious than first imagined, in terms of his limited range of operation and the possibility of further punishment in the criminal trial.
Furlani spoke to the Sky cameras moments before kick-off at San Siro in the game between Milan and Fiorentina, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
Can you give us an update on Paratici and the sporting director hunt?
“Three days ago I commented on this matter that we had not named any names and that no decision had been made. We are at a similar point to three days ago. There is no news and no choice. We are focused on preparing for the season, on choosing the right person and in the right roles.”
