Former Longhorn participates in Dallas Cowboys local pro day

Later this month, hundreds of college players will have their dreams come true in the NFL Draft. As teams finalize their draft boards, many prospects will be busy at pro days over the next few weeks. Former Longhorn Andrej Karic is one player who is drawing interest and recently participated in the Dallas Cowboys pro day.

Karic spent the first three years of his college career with Texas before transferring to Tennessee. Over the last two years, he has been a solid player for the Volunteers. He did apply for a medical redshirt year with the NCAA before entering the draft but was denied.

After getting limited playing time with Texas, Karic has impressed at his second program. He started 17 games and saw a massive rise in playing time. During his time as a Longhorn, the Texas native only saw 540 snaps; that increased to 1,017 in Tennessee.

Due to his play, Karic added some hardware to his trophy case. He earned SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors on December 2nd, 2024, for his performance against Vanderbilt. It was the first conference honor of his college career.

While the last few years have been full of ups and downs, Karic made the most of his time in Tennessee. He flashed the form that made him the 17th-ranked offensive lineman in the country in his recruiting class. For teams looking for a productive depth piece on the offensive line, Karic could be an intriguing option.
