The Flying Pig Marathon remains among the top three marathons in the United States, according to USA TODAY readers.
The event, which ranked as America's No. 1 marathon in last year's awards, came in at No. 2 in the 2025 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, announced Wednesday. It topped the New York City Marathon, the Big Sur International Marathon and several others.
The public voted on the rankings between Feb. 24 and March 24.
The Flying Pig, which returns to the Queen City from May 2-4, attracts thousands of runners to Cincinnati for the 26.2-mile course and all its related festivities.
Each week, nominees for USA TODAY's 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards are selected using a panel of industry experts that nominate their favorite attractions across a wide range of categories, from best riverwalk to best coastal small town and everything in between. Editors then vet these nominations and select a final set of contenders to present to the voting public for a period of four weeks.
