Florentino Perez reaffirms backing for Real Madrid boss despite external pressure

According to a recent report from MARCA, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez met with Carlo Ancelotti at Valdebebas last Friday over coffee.

Interestingly, the purpose of the meeting was to convey a message of calmness and confidence in Ancelotti’s leadership as the club enters the most critical phase of the season.

It must be noted that exxternal criticism and speculation are inevitable for a club of Real Madrid’s stature. Perez understands that certain situations are beyond the control of the players and the coaching staff.

However, his focus remains on encouraging the team to continue working independently and maintaining belief in their ongoing efforts.

With Ancelotti’s contract running until the end of the next season, Perez is making it clear that the club supports the Italian’s work despite the challenges faced throughout the campaign.

Ancelotti’s future remains undecided still

This year, the calendar is slightly different due to the World Cup’s impact on the scheduling.

It is expected that discussions between Ancelotti and the club will take place in the final days of May. Until then, the focus remains firmly on the season’s ongoing objectives.

Despite persistent rumours about Ancelotti’s potential move to manage Brazil or the possibility of Xabi Alonso taking over at Real Madrid, Perez’s message to Ancelotti was one of complete support.

The president’s approach was described as one of closeness and reassurance while also acknowledging the high standards the club always strives to meet.

Club appreciate Ancelotti’s efforts

The season has been far from straightforward for Real Madrid. Moments of tension have been frequent, particularly following the challenging. Furthermore, injury problems have added complications throughout the campaign.

Despite these setbacks, Real Madrid remain competitive across all fronts. Perez’s support for Ancelotti suggests that the club’s management still views him as the best candidate to lead the team forward

Although there is a clause in Ancelotti’s contract that could see him transition into a different role within the club, the current intention is for him to continue as head coach.

While the final assessment will depend on the results achieved by the end of the campaign, the overall performance so far is regarded as positive.
