Former Roma goalkeeper Julio Sergio spoke ahead of tonight’s showdown between the Giallorossi and Lecce.
In an interview with Tuttomercatoweb in the lead-up to tonight’s match, Sergio said, “Ranieri has achieved a series of remarkable results, the impact has been important from the start.”
“Today he will play against Lecce who must stay up in Serie A: I hope that both teams can obtain the desired results.”
“The future of Roma’s bench? There are many important names in play. The new coach certainly knows Italian football. But in the end, those who play and determine are the players. A coach can create the right environmental conditions and give his knowledge. De Zerbi, Sarri, Ancelotti, Thiago Motta, Gasperini: all elements of great value.”
“Who will I be rooting for tonight? I hope Roma wins for all their objectives, but I would be happy if Lecce were to save themselves by winning all the matches… except today.”
