Cowboys add multiple offensive playmakers in new mock draft

The Dallas Cowboys currently hold the No. 12 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Dallas added multiple free agents, including running back Javontae Williams and defensive end Dante Fowler. Dallas still has several starting spots up for grabs, and rookies could easily fill those spots. Here's our updated seven-round mock draft for Dallas.

First round - LB Jihaad Campbell - Alabama

Campbell is an inside/outside linebacker with elite athleticism who reminds us more than a little of Micah Parsons. Dallas needs another explosive pass rusher who can get to the football from all over the field.

Second round - WR Jayden Higgins - Iowa State

Higgins is a solid possession receiver who can run all the routes and pairs up well with CeeDee Lamb.

Third round - TE Mason Taylor - LSU

Tight end isn't a top need but for the Cowboys offense, Mason Taylor represents an elite receiving weapon.

Fifth round - G Luke Kandra - Cincinnati

There's no reason Kandra is still on the board this late but Dallas won't pass on a stone wall in the passing game and a road grader opening up run lanes.

Fifth round - RB Ollie Gordon II - Oklahoma State

With the additions Dallas made at running back, we decided to wait and roll the dice that Ollie Gordon can re-capture his game from 2023 where he ran with violence and explosion and was highly productive.

Fifth round - QB Brady Cook- Missouri

Dak Prescott is locked in at quarterback but it is never too soon to start thinking about the future. Cook is a born leader with elite athleticism and mobility and it coming off of a huge season.

Sixth round - CB Jaylin Smith - USC

Speedy slot corner prospect with excellent technique and fundamentals, especially in zone.

Sixth round - WR LaJohntay Wester - Colorado

Cowboys take a flyer on Wester who is a thin receiver and return specialist who is lightning quick in the open field.

Seventh round - DT Ty Robinson - Nebraska

We probably should have addressed defensive tackle earlier but we like Robinson here after seeing him anchor the Nebraska DL in 2024 and finish with seven sacks. Could switch to defensive end.

Seventh round - DT Thor Griffith - Louisville

After taking Robinson who is a long, pass rushing hybrid lineman, we come back with Thor Griffith who is more of a match to line up next Mazi Smith and stuff the run.
