Colorado basketball is amid a hectic transfer portal period with several holes to fill. However, we interrupt your Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter draft coverage not to bring you a new play but a new 2025 opponent for the Buffs.
According to CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Colorado will play Stanford in a neutral-site game at the Footprint Center in Phoenix this December. The official date and time are still to be decided.
Stanford went 21-14 last season in its first season in the ACC and first under head coach Kyle Smith. The Buffs finished 14-21 and last in the Big 12 with a 3-17 record.
The old Pac-12 foes last played March 3, 2024, in Boulder, where Colorado won 81-71. The Buffaloes recently own a seven-game winning streak against the Cardinal.
