Class 6A boys basketball: Deer Creek defeats Tulsa Union to win first state title since 1974
MVP chants reigned down on Clyde Davis Jr. has he took the game's final free throws.
Soon after, Davis turned to the Deer Creek faithful and pointed at his ring finger.
Deer Creek won its first state championship since 1974 after defeating Tulsa Union 78-69 in the Class 6A boys basketball title game Saturday night at State Fair Arena.
The Antlers were led by Davis, who finished with 28 points and seven rebounds.
Senior guard Triston Driver finished with 30 points for Tulsa Union.
