Chris Mara has been heavily involved in New York Giants' pre-draft process

Chris Mara, the younger brother of New York Giants co-owner John Mara, has been very visible this offseason for the club, attending a number of college pro days, especially if a quarterback is to be scouted.

Mara attended not only the Colorado Pro Day to get a look at Shedeur Sanders but also the Ole Miss Pro Day to get a look at Jaxson Dart.

The Giants are said to be in on all of the top quarterbacks in this year's draft class -- Miami's Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders of Colorado and Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart, among others. They hold the third overall selection in the 2025 NFL draft, but general manager Joe Schoen said they may not necessarily take a quarterback with that pick.

Mara, whose title these days is "senior player personnel executive," was once thought to have stepped away from being hands-on during the draft process. With the franchise at an inflection point when it comes to finding their future at quarterback, he appears to be very much a part of the search.

Mara, the second son of the late iconic owner Wellington Mara, began his Giants career as vice president of player evaluation back in 2003. In 2011, he was promoted to senior vice president of player personnel and was elevated to his current spot three years ago.

In addition to his pre-draft evaluations, Mara also consults on pro personnel decisions.
