Is this the news that Myles Garrett was so excited about when discussing the quarterback situation in Cleveland?
A familiar face is on his way back to the Browns quarterback room. It was announced by Adam Schefter of ESPN that Joe Flacco has signed a one-year deal worth up to $4 million to rejoin the organization where he earned NFL Comeback Player of the Year honors in 2023.
Following a poor three-year run with the New York Jets, who hasn't had one of those recently, Flacco bounced back with the Browns in 2023, posting a stat line that included a 60.3% completion rate with 13 touchdowns to 8 interceptions. The Browns confirmed the news a short time after Schefter's initial report.

The Browns have added Flacco and Kenny Pickett to the quarterback room this offseason. The team still has Deshaun Watson under contract through the 2026 season. His base salary will spike following the season from $1.25 million to $46 million. The quarterback the team traded for with Houston is unlikely to play at all in 2025 after re-tearing his Achilles. The Browns owner has been vocal about his displeasure with Watson and how the entire situation has played out.
