Broncos make unexpected 1st-round pick in 2025 NFL mock draft

In his latest 2025 NFL mock draft for Fox Sports, Jason McIntyre has the Denver Broncos selecting a tight end earlier than most pundits expect.

McIntyre has the Broncos picking Bowling Green's Harold Fannin at No. 20 overall in the first round with Tyler Warren (No. 7) already off the board. Denver surprisingly passes on Michigan's Colston Loveland, who falls all the way to No. 31 in the mock.

"He faced only two ranked opponents in Penn State and Texas A&M — and he dominated both (19-282-2)," McIntyre wrote of the pick. "Fannin is a big-time athlete who is going to be a hot name rising up the board for the next two months."

Fannin could be a target for the Broncos in the draft, but he seems unlikely to go off the board in the first round. NFL Mock Draft Database has Fannin listed as a third-round prospect and NFL Draft Buzz has him projected as a mid-second-round pick.

Denver holds seven picks in this year's draft, which will be held from April 24-26.
