Boom! Ohio State gets commitment from four-star offenensive lineman

Boom! The Ohio State Football team received some great news on Tuesday. The Buckeyes got their second commitment from a four-star offensive tackle in Sam Greer.

The offensive line has been an Achilles Heel in Buckeye recruiting for the past several years, but under new offensive line coach Tyler Bowen, it's a new day. Bowen has been on campus for just two months and already has bagged Maxwell Riley and now Greer. Not only that, but the No. 1 player in the country Jackson Cantwell just had a great visit with the Ohio State staff.

Greer is ranked as the No. 17 offensive tackle in the 2026 class according to 247Sports composite rankings. Expect that number to move up as he missed his freshman and sophomore years due to injury. But when his junior year rolled around, the kid made a name for himself quickly. The Akron native comes in at 6-foot-7 and 312 pounds and is extremely athletic. Just take a look at some of his high school basketball highlights that have been making the rounds on social media.

A lifelong Buckeye fan, Greer is seeing a dream become a reality. Check out the moment that Greer shared the news with head coach Ryan Day and line coach Tyler Bowen.

Bowen is off to an outstanding start with recruiting the position for the Buckeyes. Now, if he can somehow pull Cantwell into the mix, it would be the cherry on top of an offensive line class the likes of which Ohio State hasn't seen in quite some time.
