Ohio State receiver Brandon Inniss will wear a new number this fall
Ohio State breakout candidate Brandon Inniss will wear a different number for the upcoming season. Inniss has donned No. 11 for the past two years in Scarlet and Gray but will make the switch to No. 1 in 2025, the same number he wore at American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Inniss made the announcement on his personal X account (formerly Twitter). Running back Quinshon Judkins held the number last season after transferring from Ole Miss. He'll now share the single digit with cornerback Davison Igbinosun.
Inniss is widely expected to play a more prominent role in the Buckeye offense in the fall. He lettered in his true freshman year playing 12 of 13 games, with his first collegiate reception being a 58-yard touchdown in the win over Purdue in West Lafayette that year. In the 2024 season, Inniss recorded 14 receptions for 176 yards and one touchdown playing behind senior Emeka Egbuka. With the latter headed to the NFL, Inniss, who was ranked as the No. 5 wide receiver and top 50 player overall in the 2023 recruiting class, is about to get his turn at being one of the next OSU greats.
