Booker T. Washington boys soccer takes some shots at PNJ sports reporter Ben Grieco. Can he stop any?

After a second attempt at a different sport, I think it's safe to say I'm not goaltender material.

But, in my defense, this net is much larger. And, unlike Shane Bull from the Pensacola Ice Flyers, the Booker T. Washington boys soccer team didn't just lob shots at me. No, these ones were shot like lasers past me, one after another.

And the entire time, all I heard was Booker T. Washington head coach Felipe Lawall laugh.

To be fair, if I was in his shoes, I would have, too.

In this latest installment of the "Put Me In, Coach!" series, which we filmed during the Wildcats' season in the beginning of February, the Wildcats couldn't be tamed. At the time, Booker T. was the top team in the nation, and had just won another District 1-5A title.

I purposely wanted to release this to coincide with the release of the 2024-25 Boys Soccer PNJ end-of-season individual awards, maybe to give myself a little benefit of the doubt that I was trying to stop high-powered shots against the Player of the Year, Co-Defensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, along with a handful of other top players (like Ryan ...
