Bengals free agent predicted to join Titans
Former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Mike Hilton projects to be one of the most notable signings during the second wave of NFL free agency.
Hilton, who suggested his time with the team was up before free agency started, should have a strong market due to his versatility and proven track record as a solid slot presence.
One team who could have an interest? The Tennessee Titans, spearheaded by former Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan. For the Win's Cory Woodroof listed the Titans as the predicted landing spot for Hilton in Wave 2 of free agency:
"The Titans could use an upgrade at the nickel cornerback spot, and Hilton is one of the best in the business. He could follow former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan to Tennessee."
Hilton was a core piece of the turnaround under Zac Taylor and seemed like a 50-50 to return until the Bengals signaled a serious youth movement under new coordinator Al Golden. He had his playing time reduced last year while still remaining very good in situational use cases like blitzing, but the team seems to want to try Dax Hill in the slot.
If it's not a reunion with a team like Pittsburgh, Hilton going to join Tennessee or even Lou Anarumo in Indianapolis could make some sense.
