Adam Aznou was considered one of the most highly-rated young talents at Barcelona’s La Masia youth setup when he left the club for Bayern Munich in 2022.
Since moving to Germany, the 18-year-old left-back has made steady progress in his career, going on to make his first-team debut for the Bavarian giants this season, featuring three times.
Aznou returned to Spain in the winter window, joining Real Valladolid on loan, for whom he has featured seven times in La Liga already.
Barcelona interested in taking Aznou back
Now, according to German journalist Christian Falk, Barcelona are interested in re-signing Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich.
The Blaugrana have Alejandro Balde as their undisputed first-choice left-back while Gerard Martin provides cover as the backup.
However, there has been talk of the Catalan giants looking to reinforce the position further. The idea of promoting another La Masia talent – Jofre Torrents – has been considered within the club, with the youngster likely to do pre-season with the senior team in the summer.
But, as per Falk, Barcelona are also weighing up the possibility of re-signing Aznou, who spent three years at the club between 2019 and 2022 and is a close friend of rising star Lamine Yamal.
Any move, though, will be difficult to pull off considering Bayern Munich have no intentions of losing the teenage wonderkid.
Aznou’s contract with the Bundesliga heavyweights runs until 2027 and the Bavarians are looking to have him in the first-team squad next season as backup for Alphonso Davies.
As such, there is zero interest within Bayern Munich to enter into any talks regarding the potential sale of Aznou.
