FAYETTEVILLE — The series opener between Arkansas baseball and Missouri originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday has been postponed due to severe weather and out of concern for fan safety, according to a press release from the Razorbacks.
Saturday and Sunday’s game times will now be determined after further assessment of the weather conditions, but the forecast doesn't look promising for the rest of the weekend. According to the National Weather Service, the area is under a flood watch until Sunday, with a chance for rain and snow showers as the weekend comes to a close.
The No. 2 Razorbacks (27-3, 8-1 SEC) haven't lost a league game since the opener against Ole Miss. In eight straight conference victories, the Hogs have a pair of sweeps over South Carolina and Vanderbilt.
On Tuesday night, Arkansas got back to its winning ways in midweek action with a 7-4 victory over Grambling. It was the Razorbacks' annual game in North Little Rock, and they bounced back after blowing a late lead to Missouri State last week.
Missouri (11-17, 0-9) still doesn't have a conference win. The Tigers have been on the wrong ends of sweeps against LSU, Ole Miss and Texas.
