Amarillo High soccer's Sofia Pepper voted Happy State Bank High School Athlete of the Week
Amarillo High girls soccer player Sofia Pepper has been voted the Happy State Bank High School Athlete of the Week for March 9-15.
Pepper scored the only goal in the Lady Sandies' District 3-5A finale against Lubbock-Cooper, helping AHS finish its league slate undefeated.
Students in all varsity sports are eligible and can only be named Athlete of the Week one time per season, per sport. Athletes from one school cannot win more than three consecutive weeks.
Nominations are due by 5 p.m. each Saturday and can be submitted through email at sports@amarillo.com.
Please include statistics from the week's games and any pertinent information or honors. Voting runs through Thursday each week.
