On Friday afternoon, the Alabama Crimson Tide landed their second transfer portal commitment of the offseason, as forward Taylor Bol Bowen announced that he was committing to the program to play in Tuscaloosa next year.
Transferring to Alabama from Florida State, Bol Bowen is coming off a breakout 2024-25 season with the Seminoles in which he averaged 8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game while starting 28-of-29 games. In addition to that stat line, Bol Bowen also shot 47.7% from the field as a sophomore, along with 41.4% from three, and 78% at the free throw line.
A 6-foot-10 power forward, Bol Bowen was originally rated as a four-star prospect out of high school in the 2023 recruiting class, ranked as the nation's No. 73 overall player according to the 247Sports Composite rankings out of national power Brewster Academy.
Bol Bowen joins Bucknell center Noah Williamson in Alabama's transfer portal class so far this offseason, and the Florida State transfer is likely expected to play a significant role next season, giving the Crimson Tide another stretch forward who can protect the rim defensively.
