Abdul Carter is going to be one of the very first few picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Penn State pass rusher appeared to have called his shot to where he's going to land when the first round kicks off in less than two weeks.
Carter posted a picture on his social media account that is sure to fuel the fire under the Carter-to-New York smoke that has been wafting around draft circles for months. It's a picture of Giants legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor that features the quote from longtime Giants owner Wellington Mara, "Once a Giant, always a Giant."
New York holds the third pick in the draft. Tennessee is universally expected to select Miami QB Cam Ward at No. 1, but the Cleveland Browns at No. 2 have also been linked with Carter. Cleveland's draft intentions remain a mystery.
Carter in New York is an interesting idea. The Giants already have premium pass rushers on the EDGE in Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux, a top-10 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

This could be nothing more than Carter honoring a player to whom he's sometimes aspirationally compared. Based on the responses to the post, that sure isn't the way it's been interpreted, however...
