The Minnesota Vikings are seemingly full steam ahead on J.J. McCarthy as their starting quarterback for the 2025 season and beyond, finally. The process was delayed a year following his knee injury in the preseason in 2024, but things are looking up for him and the whole Vikings offense.
One of the offense players, Aaron Jones, joined Good Morning Football on Thursday to discuss the Vikings and other important topics.
When discussing the Vikings, he was, of course, asked about J.J. McCarthy and his thoughts on his new quarterback. Jones seemingly looked overjoyed at the idea of McCarthy being his quarterback. The veteran running back pointed out that if history is a good indication, the Vikings will be alright, stating, "JJ's a winner. If you look from high school to his time in college, he's lost one career game..."
Jones then gave fans a glimpse into the process of their new starting quarterback by sharing that McCarthy has "compiled a list of all the defensive players in the league and ranked them."

It wasn't all football, though, for Jones, during his spot on the morning show, he also plugged his USO tour with the NFL, where they will be visiting military personnel in Kuwait. The NFL has a close relationship with the USO, always has, and they make it clear how important that military is to their ability to have the best jobs in the world. Jones will be joined by other NFL players as they look to thank military members serving overseas and give them a fun day in the process.
