Texas A&M's busy recruiting weekend included a visit from one of the top committed prospects in the 2026 recruiting class, five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys, who is currently committed to LSU, was seen in a recent photo with 2027 four-star quarterback Trae Taylor, one of the rising signal callers in the cycle.
Keys has been on the program's priority prospect list since his early recruitment day, and as we all know, nothing is set in stone until a recruit is signed and makes his way to campus. While his visit to College Station has been in the works for quite some time, knowing that he will likely be back on campus this summer is good news for coach Mike Elko and his staff.
Texas A&M's 2024 season ended disappointingly after losing four of the last five games, but it's hard to critique Mike Elko to the full extent after his inaugural season. By all accounts, A&M's recent recruiting success is a sign of things to come. One assistant coach who has changed the narrative is wide receiver coach Holmon Wiggins, who, after helping flip 2025 five-star WR Jerome Myles, is looking to pull off the same performance with Keys.
On the field, Keys is an impressive athlete capable of becoming a standout outside receiver at the next level, thanks to his 6'2", 175-pound build, exceptional hands, and top-tier acceleration.
According to On3, Tristen Keys is the 3rd-ranked prospect in the 2026 cycle and the No. 1 ranked wide receiver and prospect in Mississippi.
