Buttigieg returns to talent management agency CAA ahead of possible White House bid

Pete Buttigieg is once again a client of a powerhouse Hollywood talent agency, inking a deal with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) amid chatter of a possible 2028 White House bid.
The Transportation secretary under former President Biden was previously represented by CAA following his 2020 presidential run in the Democratic primary.
CAA confirmed to ITK on Tuesday that Buttigieg had signed again with the company. He also will return as a client of Brillstein Entertainment Partners, Politico reported. A spokesman for Buttigieg didn't immediately return ITK's request for comment.
Buttigieg set the political world buzzing about his potential 2028 presidential plans after he opted not to run for a Michigan Senate seat earlier this month.
"I remain enthusiastic about helping candidates who share our values — and who understand that in this moment, leadership means not only opposing today’s cruel chaos, but also presenting a vision of a better alternative," Buttigieg, 43, said when announcing his decision not to run in the Senate race.
The former mayor of South Bend, Ind., isn't the only prominent political figure to make a return to CAA. Last month, former Vice President Kamala Harris made one of her first post-2024 White House bid moves by signing with CAA.
The company said at the time that it would represent Harris "in all areas, focusing on speaking engagements and publishing."
Similar to Buttigieg, the agency had previously repped the ex-VP when she was a California senator.
CAA, which also represents former President Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama, announced in early February that former President Biden could also be counted among its returning clients. Biden published his memoir “Promise Me Dad” and launched the “American Promise” speaking tour while with CAA.
