Nintendo showcased a ton of games for its upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 system during its April Nintendo Direct presentation, including a brand-new racing game starring the adorable puffball Kirby.
Kirby Air Riders, a sequel to the GameCube cult hit Kirby Air Ride, is coming exclusively to Switch 2. Moreover, it's being directed by series creator Masahiro Sakurai, most famous for his work on the Super Smash Bros. franchise. This marks Sakurai's first Kirby title since the original Air Ride.
The announcement trailer, seen above, offers a brief look at the new game, showcasing Kirby on a rocket-powered Warp Star racing through a verdant meadow against three other Kirbys. No other details were shared, but Nintendo confirmed the title will launch sometime this year.
