Hogwarts Legacy Confirmed For Nintendo Switch 2

During today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation, Warner Bros. and Portkey Games announced a Nintendo Switch 2 port of Hogwarts Legacy, the open-world adventure set in the Harry Potter universe, which will launch with the console on June 5.

Game director Alan Tew from Avalanche Software appeared in a brief segment during the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct, where he confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy will have "enhanced graphics" and "seamless world transitions" on Nintendo Switch 2. The game will also use the Joy-Con 2's mouse controls, and while specific mechanics weren't mentioned, footage showed the player-character flying on a broomstick while the mouse controls were mentioned.

Hogwarts Legacy is one of many third-party games confirmed for the Switch 2's launch lineup. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, future installments of Madden NFL and EA Sports FC, Split Fiction, Street Fighter 6, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade were also confirmed during the presentation.
