How To Romance Lady Oichi In Assassin's Creed Shadows

Do you want to romance Lady Oichi in Assassin's Creed Shadows? Yes, it's certainly possible if you're playing as Yasuke. However, you need to be prepared for a fairly lengthy campaign arc that takes you all across the Omi region, and even from past to present. Also, do keep in mind that this article contains major spoilers.

How to romance Lady Oichi in Assassin's Creed Shadows

The Lady Oichi romance arc is quite notable since she's the sister of Oda Nobunaga and the former wife of Nagamasa Azai, whereas Yasuke, despite being considered samurai, is still a foreigner. The difference in social status between the two couldn't be more pronounced.

Moreover, there are key moments that happen in the past (via flashbacks) and, naturally, segments in the present-day portion of the campaign. There are also important decisions that you need to make to ensure that Yasuke and Lady Oichi share an intimate moment together.

Quest 1: An Education

The Assassin's Creed Shadows Lady Oichi romance starts when you tackle Yasuke's personal quest: An Education. This is a flashback sequence that shows how Yasuke started training under sensei Nobutsuna. This was also the time when Yasuke first met Lady Oichi.
Romance reply when you're introduced to Lady Oichi: "Some company might be nice."

Quest 2: A Talk with a Lady

For this next part, you have to go all the way to Goshiki Outlands, which is at the northeastern edge of the Omi region. The fast travel point there is called Odani Destroyed Tenshu.
As for Lady Oichi, you'll find her in the large building just a bit to the south of the village. Talk to the attendant, Kuma, then have a chat with Oichi.

Quest 3: A Prayer for Omi

For this part of the quest chain, you must head to the Lake Biwa coast further north of Azuchi. Lady Oichi will be waiting for you, and you can sail on a boat with her to reach the island.
Upon reaching Shirahage Shrine, you must complete four rituals--i.e. these are the ones with glowing blue icons, such as giving donations and chatting with NPCs. One of the NPCs here even gives you the Amaterasu's Blessing legendary amulet.
Romance reply after completing the rituals and talking to Lady Oichi at the pier: "I would spend my last night with you."

Quest 4: The Wheel Unmasked and The Mourner

There are still a couple of quests that you need to complete, namely The Price of Rice and Nagahama Black Powder. Once you're done, you'll receive a quest called The Wheel Unmasked. For the initial part, you just need to ascertain the whereabouts of the wheel by beating a few hostiles in a village. Then, once you're ready, you'll be granted an audience with The Mourner member of the Shinbakufu.
Important: You can either spare the Mourner as Yasuke, or attack the Mourner as Naoe. If you want to romance Lady Oichi, then you must spare the Mourner.

Quest 5A: The Wheel Turns - Lady Oichi map locations and Azuchi Marketplace

If you spared the Mourner, then you should have a chance to romance Lady Oichi in Assassin's Creed Shadows. The game doesn't explicitly tell you what to do next, so here goes:
Return to your hideout. You should see a letter from Lady Gamo telling you where Lady Oichi can be found.
The letter says that she's in the marketplace just southwest of Azuchi Castle.
Go to the marketplace and hold down the aim button so you can see the blue circles. One of the NPCs there should be Lady Oichi.
Here are the reply options:
"It's time to say goodbye" - Permanently ends the quest and romance arc.
"I miss your smile" - Continues the romance arc.
"I will check on you later" - Make your decision later.

Quest 5B: The Wheel Turns - Lady Oichi and Cat Island

By continuing the Assassin's Creed Shadows Lady Oichi romance, you're then directed to the Cat Island of Okishima. It's in Lake Biwa just northwest of Azuchi. Here are your tasks:
Meet up with Lady Oichi and follow her as she talks to Yasuke.
Romance reply: "I'm drawn to you."
Speak with Lady Oichi's three daughters and tell them about the awesomeness of cats.

After talking to Lady Oichi's daughters, you're told that they found an akita named Fuji-maru. The dog once belonged to the Akechi clan, so it's up to you if you want to keep him or have him stay with the girls. Your decision here won't affect the next segment.
As for the romance dialogue itself, you should reply to Lady Oichi with: "Let's enjoy the moment."
Although there's no cutscene where Yasuke and Lady Oichi get physical, there's an implication given their brief moment together.
