How To Romance Katsuhime In Assassin's Creed Shadows

Are you planning to romance Katsuhime in Assassin's Creed Shadows? This ninja of the Koga-ryu is out for vengeance, and she's also searching for her long-lost mentor. Of course, a chance encounter with Naoe might just be what she's looking for.

How to romance Katsuhime in Assassin's Creed Shadows

You can romance Katsuhime after completing the arc where you eliminate The Naginata member of the Shinbakufu. Here's the gist:

You must first tackle Yasuke's personal quest, Lady of Whispers, to learn about Lady Nene's contacts.
One of Lady Nene's contacts leads you to a meeting with Aoi and Shotei, as well as Katsuhime later on.
During a mission called Showdown in Sakamoto, Naoe and Katsuhime will have a brief chat. You can flirt with Katsuhime by responding with: "I like your teppo."
Finish off The Naginata to complete the mission chain. You should then get a side quest called Letter from Katsuhime.

Note: Katsuhime is a recruitable ally/companion. The process to recruit and romance her go hand-in-hand, as you also need to ensure her survival during a pivotal moment.

Quest 1: Letter from Katsuhime

The Assassin's Creed Shadows Katsuhime romance proper begins when you tackle the Letter of Katsuhime side quest. Simply return to Koga in the Shimmering Fields and talk to our favorite teppo-wielding kunoichi.
She wants you to bring a bottle of sake, so just head to the large ruined house in the village and hold down the aim button. You should see a glowing blue circle underground, which you can reach by heading down the ladder behind the house.
Romance reply after giving the sake: "It offers time with me."

Quest 2: The Tale of Genin

You'll next meet Katsuhime in the village of Kumagawa in the Wakasa region. If you've already tagged the Omizo Tenshu fast travel point across Lake Biwa, then just follow the river to the northwest until you reach the village.
In this particular quest, you need to find signs of struggle. You can do this by talking to the villagers with blue glows and by inspecting the clues on the ground. Eventually, Katsuhime will rush toward a cabin guarded by several samurai. Take them all our (or watch Katsuhime blast them to smithereens).
Romance reply after defeating the hostiles: "I do enjoy your company."

Quest 3: The Diary of Lady Rokkaku and Katsuhime recruitment

This next part is extremely important if you want to romance Katsuhime in Assassin's Creed Shadows. The goal is to reach the meeting point just outside Omizo Tenshu. There, you'll learn that Katsuhime already rushed inside the castle, which triggers a cutscene.
At this point, you must reach Katsuhime's location and then defeat a samurai named Isono Kazumasa. Failure to do this task quickly leads to Katsuhime's death.
After dealing with Kazumasa--and assuming Katsuhime is still alive--you need to carry her to safe location outside the castle. So, go ahead and assassinate the remaining guards so they cause you any trouble. Once you've carried Katsuhime to the marked area, you'll complete this objective.
Katsuhime recruitment reply: "Yes, join us."

The Jounin Pillow Book

Finally, it's time to seal the deal with Katsuhime. You can find her in Sotomo Gate - Jogu Shrine, which is in the Wakasa region. Here's a quick summary:
Mount up and gallop all the way to the northwestern edge of the world map.
You'll reach the Sotomo Gate area and the Tsuruga Tower fast travel point.
Follow the road that leads further to the northwestern coast. You'll see Katsuhime waiting at the gate of Jogu Shrine.
There are a couple of lovey-dovey replies here:
When speaking with Katsuhime at Jogu Shrine, respond with: "Let's find out."
After the love scene, reply with: "Yes, forever."
