So, you want to light torches and candles in Blue Prince? There are several locations in the game where you'll see these objects in the environment. At the back of your mind, you're thinking that you should be able to interact with them. Well, you certainly can. We're here to help you do just that, but please take note that this article contains minor spoilers.
How to light candles and torches in Blue Prince
There are a couple of items that allow you to light candles in the game. These are the Burning Glass and the Torch. And, of course, randomization does apply, so you're not always guaranteed to find these in your playthrough.
Note: You lose all the items you acquire when the day ends. That means you need to pray to the RNG gods that you can craft/find them again. To make things easier, you can leave an item in the Coat Check, and then retrieve it in a future run.
How to get the Burning Glass

The Burning Glass can be crafted via the Workshop, which you should always draft in every run. It requires the following tools:
- Magnifying Glass
- Metal Detector
How to get the Torch

The Torch, meanwhile, has a chance to appear in the Armory. You can purchase it for 8 gold.
Note that the Armory isn't available by default. You can only get it if you complete the Chess Puzzle. Not only that, but you must also choose the Knight Power when given the chance.
If you're already done with this puzzle but you chose a different power, well, you can still change to something else. The only problem is that you need to complete the Chess Puzzle once more.
