The Fayetteville Woodpeckers open their sixth season at Segra Stadium on Friday with a bang. Literally.
The Houston Astros' Single-A affiliate's home opener will be followed by a fireworks show to begin a weekend series against the Lynchburg Hillcats, marking the start of Minor League Baseball's 2025 season in the Carolina League.
Here's what you need to know about Woodpeckers opening weekend.
Woodpeckers game-day parking
There are more than 4,000 parking spaces downtown within a 5-7 walk of Segra Stadium. Specifically for Woodpeckers home games, paid event parking in downtown city lots will begin 2 hours before first pitch at a cost of $5 per space. Parking fees are collected until 2 hours following the start of the game. City-paid lots are marked with signage, and parking attendants work on game days.
ADA-accessible parking is available in City Plaza 1 and City Plaza 2 parking lots behind City Hall at a cost of $5.
Private parking lots in the downtown area charge their own rates. More than 600 on-street parking locations are available and they follow marked-sign protocol in effect through 5 p.m. on weekdays. Street parking is free on weekends.
