Wolfpack dominate dual with CMR

Apr. 5—GREAT FALLS — Glacier's boys won 14 of 17 events and the girls won 12 of 17 at a track and field dual with Great Falls CMR held Friday at Memorial Stadium.

Ethan Anderson had another banner day for the boys: He won the 200 in a personal-record 23.03 seconds and took the 110-meter hurdles in 15.09.

Mark Ahner and Spencer Hodge also won twice: Ahner won the 300 hurdles and high jump, and Hodge took the 100 meters and long jump.

Dylan Smith had a top mark for the Pack, throwing 159 feet, 11 inches to win the discus.

More wins came from Jack Robinson (triple jump with a mark of 42-4.5), Ethan Kastelitz (javelin), Ben Winters (shot put) and Simon Lillard (400). Glacier also took the short relay.

The meet, which wasn't scored, also saw Glacier's girls get wins from Breanna Barnes in the 100 meters and pole vault — she cleared 10-6 and beat CMR's Addison on criteria — and both relays. Barnes is tied for the top vault in AA.

Eight more Wolfpack athletes won their events: Zeila Wagner in the 200; Dacia Benkelman in the 400; Taylor Gable in the 800; Lauren Bissen in the 3,200; Carmen Eddy in the 300 hurdles; Allie Krueger in the shot put; Rylee Bigelow in the discus; and Charlotte Osler in the javelin.

Bissen, a sophomore, lowered her Class AA-best time in the 3,200 to 11:10.45. Benkelman's 400 time of 1:04.25 sits fourth in AA; Eddy's 49.29 in the 300 hurdles sits third in AA.

Bigelow's discus throw of 116-1 ranks second in AA; she and Krueger (35-1.5) rank 2-3 in AA in the shot put as well.

Osler's throw of 121-7 ranks third in the AA in the javelin.
