Who's in danger of missing the cut at 2025 Valero Texas Open?

SAN ANTONIO — On a day when it was announced that Max Homa and longtime caddie and friend Joe Greiner had parted ways, the former continued his struggles by opening his first round at the Valero Texas Open with two bogeys and a double in the first four holes of play. Homa steadied the ship to a point, but finished the day with a 76 and will have plenty of work to do on Friday at TPC San Antonio to make the cut.

Homa, once ranked fifth in the Official World Golf Ranking, has slipped to 78th and has missed the cut in the last four events he's played, including at TPC Scottsdale near his home.

And Homa's not the only big name in hot water after the first round at the Oaks Course. With the top 65 and ties reaching the weekend at the Oaks Course, the cut would currently be at even par.
