Who would Grizzlies play if NBA playoffs started today? Updating Western Conference standings

The Grizzlies only have six games left until the NBA postseason.

Those six games will go a long way toward determining where the Grizzlies end up and whether they head straight to the NBA playoffs or have to go through the Play-In tournament. Memphis has lost four straight and is back in action on Thursday at Miami.

If the playoffs started today, the Grizzlies would be the No. 6 seed and would face the No. 3 Nuggets.

There are only three games separating the No. 4 Lakers and No. 8 Clippers, so that order is far from set in stone. The Grizzlies face the Timberwolves, Nuggets and Mavericks over their final three regular-season games, and all three teams will be involved in the postseason race.

Memphis is still looking for its first win since firing coach Taylor Jenkins. He was replaced by interim coach Tuomas Iisalo, who had to face the Lakers, Celtics and Warriors in his first three games.
