Who is Sedona Prince? What to know about TCU center’s off-court issues

Sedona Prince was one of the most talked-about names during the 2025 WNBA Draft, but not for the same reasons as other players. 

Prince, a 6-foot-7 center from TCU, made an impact during the 2025 women’s NCAA tournament and helped the Horned Frogs reach their first Elite Eight appearance. The All-Big 12 player averaged 17.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in her final season.

Her extensive college experience and height made her a prospect for the WNBA, but her name was not one of the 38 names called on April 14.

What allegations have been made about Sedona Prince? 

Prince has faced multiple assault and sexual abuse allegations from at least four different women dating back to 2019, with the latest coming in January, according to a Washington Post report. According to police, a TCU student reported that Prince assaulted her and that Prince asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Prince went to the police as well to report she had been assaulted and that she suffered a black eye. No charges have been filed. 

A sexual misconduct lawsuit involving Prince from 2019 was dismissed.

Through her attorney, Prince denied all allegations against her.

As a result, a petition was filed calling for her removal from the TCU team, which garnered more than 200,000 signatures

What injuries has Sedona Prince had?

Prince has had various injuries while in college.

While at Texas, Prince suffered a broken right leg that required two surgeries. Prince suffered a major elbow injury at Oregon that caused her to not play in the 2022-23 season. At the time, Prince said she would not continue her college career due to the torn ligament. At TCU, she was sidelined in the 2023-24 season with a broken finger.

How many years has Sedona Prince played in college? 

The 24-year-old was one of the oldest players in March Madness and played six years in college. 

Prince spent 2018-19 at Texas, then transferred to Oregon, where she sat out the 2019-20 season before playing two seasons for the Ducks. She spent the last two seasons with TCU.
