But UConn women's basketball's Sarah Strong is no ordinary freshman. The No. 1 overall recruit in the 2024 class is making quite an impact in the 2025 women's NCAA Tournament.

Strong scored a team-high 22 points on 9 of 13 shooting as No. 2 seed UConn blasted No. 1 seed UCLA 85-51 in the Women's Final Four at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, on Friday. Strong also had eight rebounds and two assists as the Huskies advanced to Sunday's national championship game against No. 1 South Carolina

Strong entered Friday averaging 16.1 points on 58% shooting, with 8.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.6 blocks in 38 starts this season.
