One of women's college basketball's most storied programs is back in the Final Four.
Spearheaded by Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong, the UConn Huskies are set to make their nation-leading 24th Final Four appearance on Friday at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, against top-overall seed UCLA.
This year also marks the 16th Final Four appearance in the last 17 women's NCAA Tournaments for Geno Auriemma's Huskies dating back to 2008. UConn's lone miss in that span was 2023, when the Huskies lost to Ohio State in the Sweet 16.
Through four 2025 NCAA Tournament games, the Huskies have looked like one of the more complete teams in the 68-team field from start to finish and the team to beat. UConn's domination can almost certainly be traced back to mid-February when the Huskies began to peak after their road win over defending champion South Carolina.
