Who does Arkansas basketball play next in 2025 NCAA Tournament? Second round bracket update
Arkansas basketball is making another run at the men's NCAA Tournament.
The No. 10 Razorbacks (21-13) knocked off No. 7 Kansas (21-13) 79-72 Thursday night in the first round of the West Region. The Hogs are now one win away from reaching the Sweet 16 for the fourth time in the last five years.
Two March Madness veterans paved the way, with Johnell Davis and Jonas Aidoo combining for 40 points in the win. Davis played in the Final Four with Florida Atlantic in 2023, while Aidoo reached the Elite Eight as a Tennessee Volunteer last season.
Now, the Hogs set their sights on another Hall of Fame coach who has a shared history with John Calipari. Here's a look at who Arkansas plays in the next round of the NCAA Tournament.

Who does Arkansas basketball play next in March Madness?
The Razorbacks will face Rick Pitino and No. 2 St. John's in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Red Storm beat No. 15 Omaha 83-53 Thursday night after the Hogs' upset against Kansas.
St. John's (31-4) won the Big East regular season and tournament titles in Pitino's second year with the program. This is the Red Storm's first appearance in the national bracket since losing in the First Four in 2019 under Chris Mullin.
Pitino and Calipari are no strangers to each other. Both coaches won a national title at Kentucky and spent a brief stint in the NBA. They faced off many times when Pitino was at Louisville, and Calipari holds an 11-9 record in the rivalry. Including their NBA showdowns, Calipari is 14-12 all-time against Pitino.

No tipoff time has been announced for the second round matchup. The game will be played Saturday at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island.
