Marquette basketball’s March Madness opponent is New Mexico to open 2025 NCAA tournament bracket
The Marquette men's basketball team is headed to Cleveland.
The Golden Eagles (23-10) earned a No. 7 seed in the South Region and will face 10th-seeded New Mexico on Friday at Rocket Arena.
Game time will be announced later on Sunday.

The Golden Eagles have made the NCAA tournament in all four seasons with Shaka Smart as head coach.

(2022; 9 seed): Lost to North Carolina, 95-63, in first round
(2023; 2 seed): Beat Vermont, 78-61, in first round; lost to Michigan State, 69-60, second round
(2024; 2 seed):Beat Western Kentucky, 87-69 in first round; beat Colorado, 81-77, in second round; lost to North Carolina State, 67-58, in Sweet 16.
