Cleveland Guardians top prospect Travis Bazzana is off to a hot start to his season with the Akron RubberDucks in Double-A.
It's only two games, but Bazzana has six hits in eight at-bats over 10 plate appearances. That includes three RBI, a home run and a double. He’s also stolen two bases.
Bazzana is one of several RubberDucks prospects who could make their way up to Cleveland by the end of the season for the Guardians.
The home opener for the Ducks is on Tuesday, and they have some new extreme food options on the menu at Canal Park.
The Guardians selected Bazzana No. 1 overall in the 2024 MLB draft out of Oregon State. Last season in 27 games he had a .238 batting average with three home runs and 12 RBIs at Single-A Lake County.
