Watch: Florida 7-foot-9 freshman Olivier Rioux doesn't need ladder to cut down net
One of the perks of winning a conference championship is cutting down the net following the victory.
Teams usually bring out a ladder to allow their players to cut down a piece of the net. Then, the scissors are passed to the next teammate until the net is down and thrown around someone's neck. For Florida men's basketball star, Olivier Rioux, one step was not necessary following the Gators' SEC championship game win over Tennessee: the ladder.
The 7-foot-9 big man cut down the net without a ladder. Heck, the freshman from Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada, did not even need to stretch much to cut down his portion of the net.

According to his Florida profile, Rioux is the Guinness World Record holder for tallest teenager. He did not appear in a game during his freshman season, but he does draw looks for his height when shown next to teammates or when he's sitting on the bench.
The Gators defeated Tennessee 86-77 to earn their first SEC tournament championship since 2014. This is Florida's first conference championship under a coach other than Billy Donovan. The Gators will seemingly be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament for the third time and first since 2014.
