Vikings announce start of their offseason programs ahead of training camp

The NFL offseason is starting to emerge, with some dates being announced that will affect teams. One of those is the early organized activities for teams. While players are not required to attend, they certainly help them as they start to get back into the swing of things.

For the Minnesota Vikings, they announced the following dates for their workouts:

  • First Day: April 21
  • OTAs: May 27-28, May 30, June 2-3, June 5, June 16-18
  • Mandatory Minicamp: June 10-12

The NFL Draft will take place on April 24, so we will see them before the draft. It shouldn't affect draft plans, but crazier things have happened. Depending on who shows up, it will be nice to see some of the players signed in free agency involved with the team for the first time.

It will also be the first time we will see J.J. McCarthy work out in eight months.
