USA TODAY Sports/PlayVS Super 25 esports rankings

After six weeks of the 2025 season on the PlayVS platform, Saline High School (Mich.) remains at the No. 1 spot in the USA TODAY Sports/PlayVs Super 25 rankings.

The team's winning percentage has expectedly dipped since Week 3—when it was at a perfect 100%—but they've continued an impressive run, staying just ahead of Northview High School.

As the season heads into April, with head-to-head matchups in games like "Madden NFL," "Rocket League," "NBA 2k," "Hearthstone," and "League of Legends," here is the full ranking...

Super 25 selection process

The methodology: PlayVS has analyzed the performance of all schools competing in our Spring 2025 season to determine the Top 25 esports programs nationwide. Schools must actively compete in at least five (5) unique esports titles to be eligible. Schools are ranked by the average match-win percentage of their top-performing team within each esports title. In the case of tied averages, tiebreakers are determined by the average game-win percentage and overall program size.
