Twitter reacts to Broncos missing out on Cooper Kupp
Cooper Kupp agreed to terms on a three-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks on Friday. The Denver Broncos had some interest in Kupp, but not at his $15 million-per-year price tag.
Here's a sampling of how fans and pundits on Twitter/X reacted to the news of Kupp not landing in Denver.
I said on Orange and Blue Today last night I wouldn't pay Kupp a dime over $7 million a year ... $15M a year for a WR who'll be 32 in June and has missed at least 5 games in each of the last 3 seasons is quite a haul.

Broncos have good young WR corps. Let the kids grow. https://t.co/OSLIoRndvK
Very glad the Broncos didn’t pay this https://t.co/kcCW1dFhGR

Yeah, not upset that the Broncos passed on Kupp at that price point at this stage of his career. https://t.co/vWPRqlPLAN

Good for Kupp. #Broncos were never paying that. Nor should they. https://t.co/x1FAyFFFtH

$15M per year? Pass. Way too rich for my blood.
— AROD - Anthony Rodriguez (@AnthonyRod33) March 14, 2025
It also cannot be understated how poor of a fit Kupp is with Seattle. Let’s see how much Darnold can get him the ball while running for his life… 😅 https://t.co/sCxEx5RTM9
I, for one, am glad the #Broncos didn’t cave to Cooper Kupp for $15M per.

Ah, this sucks. They’ll be fine but he would’ve helped that receiver room and Bo quite a bit. But for 15 per? Understandable why they weren’t interested. Doesn’t swing the pendulum to far in either direction imo https://t.co/4Io77n1aLR

The Broncos will move forward with receivers Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims, Devaughn Vele and Troy Franklin.
