Report: Cooper Kupp was more interested in Broncos than they were in him
The Cooper Kupp saga has finally come to an end.
After drawing interest from multiple teams, Kupp opted to join the Seattle Seahawks on Friday. Seattle is giving Kupp a three-year deal worth $15 million per season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
At that price, it's no surprise that the Denver Broncos did not sign the soon-to-be 32-year-old receiver with an injury history. There were conflicting reports on whether or not Denver was pursuing Kupp, but now that the saga has concluded, KUSA-TV's Mike Klis has chimed in with an update.
"As I understand it while Kupp may have had interest in Denver, Broncosdid not pursue him," Klis tweeted on Friday.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday that Kupp would like to play in Denver, and it sounds like that report was true, but the interest was not mutual -- at least not at Kupp's asking price. So the Broncos will move forward with Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims, Devaughn Vele and Troy Franklin as their top four receivers.
