Hakan Calhanoglu and Carlos Augusto could be in for positional changes in tomorrow’s Serie A clash between Parma and Inter Milan.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that Calhanoglu could play as a box-to-box midfielder, and Augusto could start on the right flank.
Inter Milan take on Parma in Serie A tomorrow.
However, that will be far from the only match for Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi to consider. Inter are playing twice a week for all of April, including massive knockout clashes with Bayern Munich and AC Milan.
Therefore, Inzaghi will certainly be mulling over some squad rotation.
Particularly with certain players – including Denzel Dumfries and Piotr Zielinski – on the sidelines.
Calhanoglu & Augusto Could Change Position In Parma Vs Inter Serie A Clash
One idea Inzaghi could turn to would be to repurpose some available players.
In midfield, the Inter coach could start Hakan Calhanoglu – but not in the Turkish international’s usual position at the base of midfield.
Rather, it would be Kristjan Asllani who starts in holding midfield.
Then, Calhanoglu would play in a more advanced box-to-box role.
Then, at right-wingback, Inzaghi is ready to give Matteo Darmian a rest in view of the first leg of the Champioins League quarterfinals against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
Particularly with Denzel Dumfries sidelined.
According to Sky, Inzaghi is considering playing Carlos Augusto on the right flank, rather than in his usual left-wingback position.
