Top Notre Dame football safety target has narrowed his list to six schools

Notre Dame football has long been on top of Pennsylvania athlete Joey O’Brien’s recruiting radar, and that didn’t change on Thursday when he cut his list down to six schools as reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

The Irish along with Oregon, Tennessee, Penn State, Clemson and Michigan comprise his final group, and you have to like where Notre Dame stands. He’s already seen a crystal ball picks for him to land in South Bend, and had visited campus multiple times.

Another visit has been set up, O’Brien’s official which will start on June 3rd, one of the earlier ones that he will make. His final trip is supposedly to Ohio State, but that could change since they were left off of his top-six. The 6-foot, 3-inch and 185-pound defender is ranked as an athlete by the 247Sports Composite Rankings, as he checks in as the No. 91 overall player.

Notre Dame has been recruiting O’Brien as a safety, as his size fits the mold for that position in South Bend. Hopefully the crystal ball picks are correct, and the talented safety ends up playing for the Irish.
