LEWISBURG — From 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Bucknell Management 101 Company D will host a dine-to-donate fundraiser at the Bull Run Tap House in Lewisburg.
Fifteen percent of purchases made by patrons who present Company D’s flyer will be directed to supporting renovations of the Little League facilities and increasing accessibility to youth sports.
Students in Management 101 learn about organizations by creating their own company and engaging with one or more external partner organizations to create value in the community.
Company D will partner with both the Milton and Lewisburg Little Leagues. The goal of the company is to conduct meaningful service projects to improve the infrastructure of both organizations. Some of the support functions that the company is looking to provide at the Lewisburg location are updates to the field dugouts, improving the state of the concession stands, and helping to clean out the storage closets at the fields.
The Lewisburg Little League is a nonprofit organization that offers baseball and softball programs for boys and girls ages 4-16. Through its fundraising initiative at Bull Run Tap House, Company D-Dream to Play is hoping to give back to an organization that has provided so many young athletes with life-changing experiences.
