TE Travis Vokolek signs 1-year tender with Arizona Cardinals to return in 2025
It is official. Arizona Cardinals tight end Travis Vokolek returns for the 2025 season, although it was a formality. He signed his one-year tender to return in 2025.
With only one accrued season, he was an exclusive rights free agent. The Cardinals offered him a qualifying tender, meaning he could only re-sign with them or not play football.
It will be his third NFL season in 2025. He was signed as an undrafted rookie in 2023 by the Baltimore Ravens out of Nebraska. He spent time on their practice squad until the Cardinals signed him to their 53-man roster in December of that season. Because he only spent two weeks on an NFL roster as a rookie, he did not earn a accrued season for free agency purposes.
He was the Cardinals' fourth tight end on the roster all last season but was inactive as a healthy scratch for 16 games and active once, playing 12 snaps on offense and two on special teams.
The Cardinals' tight end room is pretty set with the top three players (Trey McBride, Elijah Higgins and Tip Reiman), so Vokolek will be working to fight off any other tight end they have or bring in this offseason.
